Why I Prefer the Tineco Pure One Station 5 Over My Dyson

by BERG

Since I started using the Tineco Pure One Station 5, it has become my go-to vacuum for daily cleaning. It consistently outperforms other vacuums, including my Dyson, especially when it comes to picking up pet hair, debris of various sizes, and even items my upright vacuum struggles to handle, like lollipop sticks and juice box straw wrappers.

The first feature that stood out was the vacuum’s bright green light, which at first seemed unnecessary. However, it quickly proved to be incredibly useful. The light highlights every speck of dust, strand of hair, and crumb on the floor, ensuring nothing is missed. While it does reveal every imperfection in my hardwood floors, such as dents and scratches, the light’s purpose is clear: to help you clean every corner of the space thoroughly.

The Tineco Pure One Station 5 is a powerful cordless vacuum that offers several modes: Eco, Auto, and High. Eco mode is energy-efficient, perfect for light cleaning tasks like picking up crumbs after snack time. High mode delivers the most suction power, outshining my traditional upright vacuum in its ability to tackle stuck-on pet hair and debris on carpets and rugs. The Auto mode uses the vacuum’s iLoop smart sensor to detect dust and debris and adjust suction accordingly.

Equipped with 175w of suction power and a multi-surface brush roller that spins at 3,000 RPM, the Tineco vacuum excels at cleaning various surfaces. The V-shaped bristles on the brush are designed to capture both pet hair and debris, directing them to the nozzle without any tangling. In fact, the vacuum’s dual-comb design prevents hair from clogging the roller, which has been especially beneficial for me as I own a high-shedding dog. Over two months of use, the brush roller has never once become tangled with hair, proving that the system works as intended.

Another standout feature is the vacuum’s self-emptying function. After each cleaning session, the vacuum docks itself and automatically empties its dustbin into a 2.5-liter container on the charging station. This process is completely hands-free and even includes a cleaning cycle for the brush roller and tubes, ensuring they stay debris-free. Thanks to this feature, I only need to empty the vacuum’s canister every three to four weeks, despite using it daily with a shedding dog.

However, the Tineco Pure One Station 5 isn’t without its drawbacks. I sometimes find it challenging to remove attachments and the extension tube, as it requires a bit of jiggling rather than a simple push of a button. While this isn’t a major issue for me, it could be frustrating for individuals with mobility limitations.

Overall, the Tineco Pure One Station 5 has impressed me with its performance, convenience, and innovative features, making it my preferred choice over my Dyson for everyday cleaning tasks.
