Roborock has introduced the Qrevo Curv S5X, a more budget-friendly version of its premium Qrevo Curv robot vacuum. Priced at $999.99/€999.99, the S5X offers many of the advanced features of its predecessor but at a significantly lower price point, thanks to some adjustments and feature removals.
Launched in 2024, the original Qrevo Curv was priced at $1,599.99, but the new S5X model is designed to cater to a more cost-conscious audience. To reduce costs, Roborock made several changes. The S5X lacks the AdaptiLift Chassis, which in the original model raised the vacuum by up to 10mm to tackle taller obstacles. The Hello Rocky voice assistant, which allowed for alternative control through voice commands, is also absent in the S5X, and the suction power has been reduced from 18,500Pa to 17,000Pa.
Despite these tweaks, the Qrevo Curv S5X retains several key features from the original, including the DuoDivide Main Brush, the FlexiArm Arc Side Brush, and Reactive Obstacle Avoidance technology. Additionally, it comes equipped with the Multifunctional Dock 3.0, which offers features such as hot water cleaning and warm air drying.
The S5X is currently available for $999.99/€999.99, with an additional $150/€150 discount available on Amazon. For comparison, the original Qrevo Curv, which launched at $1,599.99, is now priced at $1,299.99 on Amazon.
Alongside the release of the Qrevo Curv S5X, Roborock has also unveiled a more affordable version of the Qrevo Edge, the Qrevo Edge S5A, offering even more options for customers seeking high-performance robot vacuums at a reduced cost.
