Roborock is gearing up to unveil its latest robot vacuum, the P20 Ultra, in China. The company has shared teasers on social media, revealing key details about this innovative model, which promises to stand out with its slim design, aided by a retractable LDS navigation module.
The P20 Ultra will follow in the footsteps of the P20 Pro, which debuted last August and later expanded to international markets under the name Roborock Qrevo Curv, currently priced at $1,299.99 on Amazon.
Roborock has been actively posting updates about the P20 Ultra on Weibo, where it highlighted the vacuum’s retracting LDS navigation module. This feature provides dual viewing angles, enabling more efficient navigation. Similar technology was introduced in the recently launched Saros 10, under the name RetractSense. The retracting sensor allows the vacuum to glide effortlessly under furniture, reducing its height to just 7.98 cm (about 3.1 inches), making it one of Roborock’s thinnest models.
Accompanying images of the P20 Ultra also showcase a pair of docking stations, each featuring a dome shape reminiscent of the Curv’s station. One of these stations is expected to integrate with home plumbing, while the other houses water tanks, offering a more comprehensive solution. The P20 Ultra is also depicted with a FlexiArm extending brush, designed to clean corners and room edges effectively.
While specifics regarding the suction power, battery life, and mopping features have not yet been disclosed, the P20 Ultra is expected to be officially launched in China on March 10th. Pricing for the device will also be revealed at that time. Recently, Roborock introduced global versions of its Qrevo Curv S5X and Qrevo Edge S5A robot vacuums, more affordable variants of the original models.
