Whether you’re looking to give your home or business a fresh new look, Heat Wave Pressure Washing has you covered! Headquartered in Wesley Chapel, Heat Wave provides residential and commercial pressure washing services to customers in Pasco, Polk, Hillsborough, and Pinellas counties.
Owner Brennan Vargas, a Wesley Chapel High graduate, is dedicated to his work and the company’s legacy. Brennan started the pressure washing business as a summer job at age 20. While he wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about it at first, Brennan says the inspiration and guidance from the company’s previous owner, Christopher Brenner, helped him see the potential for both him and the company to grow together.
At the time, Brennan wasn’t sure what he wanted to do, so he asked his father, Chris, if anyone needed help. His father mentioned Brenner to Chris’s social circle as a potential resource. Brennan said he had no idea at the time that this relationship, and the summer job it led to, would become the impetus for his entrepreneurial endeavor and ultimately his future.
“Originally, when I first started working there, I was just looking for something to do in the summer,” Brennan recalled, “since I wasn’t planning on going to college.”
Halfway through his first summer position, Brennan realized that Brenner really wanted to grow Heat Wave Pressure Washing. So, Brennan decided to stay and help his boss achieve that goal. The positive work environment, as well as his appreciation for Brenner, kept Brennan at the company. He believes that this relationship taught him how to be the dedicated businessman he is today.
“[Brenner] taught me to be extremely detailed, find solutions, do my research, don’t pay out of pocket, and tell the client what you can do for them,” Brennan said. “Then, when there’s nothing you can do for them, you help them find a solution.”
This service-oriented, attentive attitude shaped Brennan’s attention to detail and his desire to always deliver outstanding work during his seven years with the company.
However, when Brennan purchased Heat Wave in April 2024, he kept the name to honor the legacy of Brenner, who passed away in 2023. The insights and experiences Brennan gained over the years under Brenner’s guidance still guide his work ethic today. These experiences are also evident in the way Heat Wave Pressure Washing approaches every job.
“Whether it’s sealing pavers or pressure washing your home, it’s all about protecting your investment,” Brennan explains, “and making sure whoever is working on your property knows what they’re doing, using the right cleaning supplies that won’t damage a lot of plants or change the paint color of your home. For example, when we clean a roof, we cover all the delicate items under the roof. We place cleaning bags in the bottom gutters for collection. We always go the extra mile.”
These are just some of the precautions Brennan and his team of technicians take at Heat Wave Pressure Washing. They also do everything they can to protect wildlife on site, including carefully selecting cleaning products and checking for bird nests and animal burrows. Keeping an eye on the site’s landscaping and animals is also part of preparation.
While Heat Wave does incorporate these and other careful practices, Brennan says he’s heard too many horror stories from customers who’ve had bad experiences with other companies. “I’ve met people who’ve killed every plant in their house,” he says, “and replacing those plants can cost $8,000 to $10,000, which is more than an $800 pressure wash would cost!”
Protecting your investment from these mishaps is exactly why Heat Wave Pressure Washing plays it safe and takes precautions ahead of time. Brennan says it’s also critical to use mostly low-pressure soft washes and the proper solutions.
Since many solutions used to remove algae and mold contain chlorine bleach, they can, unfortunately, kill plants, too. To avoid this potential consequence, Heat Wave technicians spray neutralizers on nearby plants to protect them from exposure to the chemicals. They also use a very diluted bleach solution that contains surfactants to help the solution adhere to surfaces.
This keeps the solution from dripping everywhere and enables the team to use less solution to clean the surface. Covering less lush vegetation with tarps is another especially important step technicians take when washing a roof.
Brennan knows that attention to detail and incorporation of ongoing advancements in the industry will continue to enhance the first-rate service Heat Wave Pressure Washing already provides.
