Roofing manufacturers recommend soft washing, which is cleaning the roof with a specialized chemical cleaning solution containing biocides and oxidizers that kill 100% of bacteria and mold spores when they come into contact with the tiles and roof, and will not damage slate, brick, metal, and asphalt shingles.
