This collaboration, formalized in June 2021, has allowed KOR to distribute Schwarze’s advanced street sweeping technology across Australia and New Zealand, featuring three distinct models.
The premier model in this lineup is the Schwarze A4 Storm regenerative air street sweeper. This model is celebrated for its robust performance and cost efficiency. It is distinguished by Schwarze’s proprietary Whisper Wheel fan system, which sets it apart from competitors by operating up to 70% quieter and reducing fuel consumption by up to 20%, all while delivering 7% more power.
The A4 Storm boasts an impressive 12,000 cubic feet per minute (cfm) air speed, generating a powerful air column that enhances material transfer and pickup efficiency. This capability makes it a top choice for a variety of sweeping tasks.
Designed with a 3.6 cubic metre chassis, the A4 Storm strikes an optimal balance between size and functionality. Its compact dimensions and three-metre sweep path make it especially well-suited for urban settings, ensuring effective debris removal while keeping operational costs low.
The sweeper features large, 990-millimetre tilting gutter brooms that are essential for cleaning gutters recessed below pavement level. These brooms are designed for durability and efficiency, extending their lifespan and providing a cost-effective cleaning solution.
Another notable feature of the Schwarze A4 Storm is its high-tip design. The 3.6-cubic metre stainless-steel hopper can discharge debris vertically up to nearly two metres, facilitating direct disposal into bins and reducing the need for trips to the depot, thus saving time and fuel.
For ease of operation, the A4 Storm includes a two-way centre console that allows controls to be accessed from either side of the cab. The console is equipped with essential switches and gauges for monitoring fuel, oil pressure, and temperature. Additionally, it features advanced electrical safety systems with resettable breakers, comprehensive engine diagnostics, and operational data including load and fuel consumption.
