Pudu Robotics has introduced its latest innovation, the PUDU MT1, an advanced AI-driven robotic sweeper designed for cleaning expansive environments such as warehouses and manufacturing facilities.
The PUDU MT1 leverages artificial intelligence to address the complexities of large-scale cleaning tasks. Capable of covering areas up to approximately 1.1 million square feet, the robot uses AI to identify and categorize waste, effectively distinguishing between actual trash and non-trash items. Its wide field of view allows it to patrol extensive spaces and activate the cleaning mechanism only when necessary, enhancing efficiency.
Equipped with lidar SLAM and VSLAM technology, the PUDU MT1 optimizes its cleaning routes to ensure comprehensive coverage while minimizing redundancy. The robot can adapt to changes in layout and integrate with IoT devices, such as elevators and gates, facilitating seamless multi-floor cleaning operations.
The robot provides real-time updates and visualized cleaning reports through remote monitoring apps and PC interfaces. It also sends notifications when the trash receptacle is full, streamlining maintenance processes.
Traditional cleaning methods in large settings like home improvement stores and manufacturing plants are often labor-intensive and less efficient. The PUDU MT1’s AI capabilities aim to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and uphold high hygiene standards. Felix Zhang, founder and CEO of Pudu Robotics, emphasized, “The scale and complexity of modern facilities demand advanced cleaning solutions. Our PUDU MT1 combines intelligence and automation to meet the rigorous hygiene and operational efficiency requirements of large environments.”
Additional features of the PUDU MT1 include an intuitive touchscreen interface for straightforward operation and customization, and an extended handle for manual intervention, which aids in transitioning between different areas and handling semi-outdoor tasks. The robot can navigate narrow passages as slim as 29.5 inches, overcome obstacles up to 0.75 inches high, and traverse gaps up to 1.3 inches wide. With a six-hour battery life, it provides continuous cleaning when used with its charging dock.
This launch marks the third cleaning product in Pudu Robotics’ lineup, following the earlier release of the PUDU T300, an autonomous robot designed for logistics workflows. The company, based in China, is committed to advancing human productivity and quality of life through cutting-edge robotic technology, holding nearly a thousand authorized patents worldwide.
