Roborock Qrevo Master: A New Standard in Robot Vacuum Technology

by BERG

Roborock has made bold claims about its latest robot vacuum, the Qrevo Master, priced at $1600/£1200/€1299. The company asserts that this model offers “unparalleled cleaning performance and a seamless user experience,” designed to simplify the lives of busy families. Based on my testing, I can confidently affirm that this time, the hype is well-deserved.

While this isn’t the first robot vacuum to boast self-cleaning capabilities—iRobot’s Roomba Combo 10 being an example—Roborock’s offering features impressive technology that sets it apart. Noteworthy among these is the innovative flexi-arm design, which allows the vacuum to effectively clean tight corners and edges. Here’s an overview of its performance in my home.

Each gadget reviewed by Stuff undergoes rigorous testing, including vacuum cleaners, coffee machines, and other cleaning tools. Our evaluations focus on several key aspects, including performance, battery life, user-friendliness, and overall value. It’s important to note that manufacturers do not preview reviews before publication, and we do not accept payment for product placements.

Available in sleek black and white, the Roborock Qrevo Master stands out with its multifunction dock, unlike any other robot vacuum on the market. This dock functions not merely as a charging station, but as a complete cleaning station. Upon the vacuum’s return, its dust bin is automatically emptied, and its water tank is refilled. The device then intelligently cleans and disinfects its mops, along with the dock itself. The inclusion of warm air drying accelerates the cleaning process, while dual rotating scrapers effectively minimize dirt accumulation. My only tasks have been to empty the main dustbin and dirty water tank and refill the clean water reservoir.

The dock features a spacious four-liter clean water tank and a 3.5-liter tank for dirty water, both designed for easy emptying and cleaning. Impressively, the dirty water tank is sealed to prevent any unpleasant odors. Although the dock is somewhat bulky, it compensates for this by significantly reducing the frequency of required cleanings. Additionally, all accessories and the dock base are detachable and washable.

Performance-wise, the Roborock Qrevo Master excels with a powerful 10,000Pa motor that effectively collects dirt, debris, and pet hair from various surfaces, including carpets and hard floors. It utilizes two rubber spiral brushes equipped with hidden scrapers, which eliminate hair tangles—a welcome change from my experiences with other robot vacuums.

The flexi-arm design proves highly effective as well. The side brush can thoroughly reach into corners, delivering an impressive clean that feels almost miraculous for a circular robot. The mop on the right side also extends automatically, ensuring excellent edge coverage.

One of the standout features of the Qrevo Master is its advanced obstacle recognition technology. It can identify and avoid over 60 different object types, including pets, preventing potential issues before they arise. I’m pleased to report that the vacuum has not encountered any problems getting stuck or tangled, even amidst scattered household items.
