Dyson has announced the introduction of the Dyson WashG1, marking its first cord-free wet floor cleaner engineered for efficient cleaning. This groundbreaking device is designed to tackle both wet and dry debris at the same time, ensuring a clean surface that is safe for barefoot walking.
The WashG1 is equipped with a 1-liter clean-water tank and employs a unique blend of hydration, absorption, and extraction technologies to deliver thorough debris removal and hygienic maintenance. With a single charge, it can cover an impressive area of up to 3,100 square feet.
At the heart of the device are highly absorbent, counter-rotating rollers, which utilize a pulse-modulated pump to evenly distribute water across 26 hydration points. The microfiber rollers, composed of 64,800 filaments per cm², excel at absorbing liquid spills while simultaneously capturing dry dirt, debris, and hair.
The WashG1 also features advanced separation technology to keep debris and dirty water distinct, simplifying the disposal process. Durable plates extract dirty water from the rollers, while nylon-bristled brush bars effectively flick dirt into a removable debris tray, which is equipped with a 500-micron mesh to filter out larger debris. This waste is securely contained in a 0.8-liter tank, promoting hygienic disposal.
Designed with maintenance in mind, the WashG1 features no sharp internal edges, minimizing the risk of grime buildup. Its large water tank openings allow for easy cleaning, and a self-cleaning mode saturates the rollers with clean water after use, preparing the machine for its next operation.
For customizable cleaning, the device provides adjustable hydration control, enabling users to tailor the water levels based on the type of debris and flooring. It includes three settings—low, medium, and high—along with additional sensitivity options, plus a boost mode for dealing with stubborn stains. The full-width rollers ensure effective edge-to-edge cleaning, with two motors spinning in opposite directions to enhance maneuverability, allowing the machine to glide effortlessly during use.
