At CES 2025, Roborock introduced the Saros 10R, the latest addition to its Saros flagship series, alongside the highly anticipated Saros Z70. Both models share a number of key features but differ in certain specifications, with the Saros 10R set to make its debut at the event.
The Saros 10R boasts impressive suction power, reaching up to 19,000Pa, slightly lower than the 22,000Pa suction capacity of the Saros Z70. However, it still delivers powerful cleaning performance, utilizing the same advanced DuoDivide Main Brush, FlexiArm Riser Side Brush, and Dual Spinning Mops for efficient floor cleaning. The robot is also designed to handle obstacles as high as 4 cm (about 1.6 inches) thanks to its AdaptiLift Chassis, allowing it to navigate different environments with ease. Standing at just 7.98 cm (around 3.1 inches) tall, the Saros 10R is one of the slimmest models in Roborock’s lineup.
One of the standout features of the Saros 10R is its new VertiBeam Lateral Obstacle Avoidance technology, which works in conjunction with the StarSight Autonomous System 2.0. This system combines ToF (Time-of-Flight) sensors and RGB cameras to enable precise and efficient navigation through your home, ensuring the robot can clean every corner without difficulty.
For enhanced functionality, Roborock offers the optional Multifunctional Dock 4.0. This upgraded dock includes several smart cleaning features, such as the ability to wash the mops with water heated up to 80°C (176°F). It also offers a convenient feature for carpet cleaning, allowing users to detach the mop before vacuuming. The dock is equipped with fast-charging technology, fully recharging the Saros 10R in just 2.5 hours. In addition, an upcoming over-the-air (OTA) update will enable support for the Matter 1.4 protocol, ensuring compatibility with Apple Home, while the vacuum already integrates with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
The Saros 10R is set to launch in the US and EU in January, alongside the Saros 10 model, with both expected to retail for $1,599.99 in North America. European pricing has yet to be announced. This positions the Saros 10 models at the same price point as the recently released Qrevo Edge, which is available on Amazon.
